If you consider yourself any level of a ‘beginning actor’, I highly recommend Walter Anaruk’s “Business of Acting: Business Foundations” class with Risa F Scott!
Many of you already know and love them both, so this will come as no surprise, but you’ll not only come away much more knowledgeable about the business side of this industry, but you’ll also have two incredibly experienced and approachable pros at your side to answer your questions, lessen the anxiety of what may seem overwhelming, and make you laugh.
Word on the street is another class may be in the works, so I recommend you keep an eye out!
Great Class! It was both intuitive and informative. A must-take class for serious actors who need an inside scoop on the nuts and bolts of how the business works, how to get an agent, and how to dig deep into your “WHY” and strategy. Both instructors provide invaluable insight and several resources on how to dig deep within to market yourself in this crazy, fun, and diverse industry. 11/10.
If you are an actor and haven’t taken a business class yet, then I highly recommend Authenticity & Business Foundations taught by Walter Anaruk and Risa Scott @risascottphoto . The class was extensive, informative, and now I feel I can move forward with more focus. These 2 instructors work great together and easily got all the students feel comfortable engaging and asking questions. If there are other classes available, I definitely plan on signing up!

Walter provided invaluable guidance for beginning actors, from the high-level trajectories to success down to the nitty gritty actions to take. There was ample time to dig into individual actors’ needs and get group feedback on our individual character essences. Walter went above and beyond before, during, and after class to show a commitment to each actor’s success.
